The procedure for proposing online motions
.A member may propose a motion for a vote at a NESTA General meeting.
.Members may vote online using the 'Online Motions Voting Form if the motion has been submitted to secretary@nesta.hk (with proposer and seconder) at least 10 days before the subsequent NESTA General meeting.
.The NESTA Executive will post proposed motions in the members' forum for discussion. Each newly proposed motion will be allocated a motion number.
.Members may submit the form below to vote for online motions. All information must be entered or the vote will be deemed void.
.The deadline for submitting a vote online is 24 hours before the NESTA General meeting.
.At the NESTA General meeting, all members will receive a white voting card for general voting. In the event of an online motion being discussed and voted on, members will also receive a coloured voting card if they have not already voted online . Members will present their membership card upon arrival at meetings for verification purposes.
.The original proposed motion will be discussed and voted on first in its original form. If "friendly amendments" are proposed, i.e. there are no changes in the intent of the motion, online votes will remain valid. If the motion is defeated, a newly amended motion may be proposed on the floor. In this case, all online votes are deemed void and the white voting card will be used.
.Once a member has submitted an online vote, it cannot be modified or cancelled.
.If several online motions are proposed before the same General meeting, the member must vote online for ALL the motions. Once a form has been submitted for any online motion(s), votes cannot be modified or cancelled for any of the motions tabled.
